We’ve grouped together all the dressmaking patterns suitable for beginners on this page. All come with a tutorial video. You can watch these tutorials for free before buying the pattern, so you can see exactly what’s involved and if the pattern is right for you. Further down the page you’ll also find our patterns for confident beginners.

For absolute beginners we’d recommend choosing a paper pattern rather than a PDF download. However, all of our patterns have a PDF download version if you prefer, and your can find a tutorial on our blog that takes you through the whole PDF download, printing and assembling process.
